Premium grade state of the art Diamond Sharpening Steels are made of microcrystalline diamonds bonded with nickel to a lightweight oval steel shaft which both sharpen and realign at the same time quickly producing a hi-grade cutting edge.
This steel is designed as a finishing steel and not made to sharpen dull knives. Using light pressure (the weight of the knife) this steel will produce a razor edge.
